Summary

Receives and distributes all stock received and maintains the operating functions of the general plant by performing the following duties.

 

This position is for night shift working 6 PM to 6 AM on a continental rotating shift.

Responsibilities

  • Operates forklift and clamp truck.
  • Unloads and puts away stock as it is received.
  • Ensures that all raw materials are counted correctly and accounted for.
  • Verifies label on roll to ensure it matches the order to prevent waste, shortage, and long set-up times.
  • Transports materials to the production area, supplying all machines with raw materials.
  • Assures that machines have materials.
  • Weighs and loads bales onto trucks.
  • Accurately uses computers.
  • Maintains the physical structure of the plant by keeping machinery and work area clean and orderly.
  • Checks for damages on incoming trucks and marks on BOL.
  • Make sure the rolls are checked in and placed in the proper row.
  • Need to be able to use Top Gun.
  • Must be capable of keeping accurate records, including the completion of all required forms, and the accurate use of different measuring devices, and all other applicable gauges for your responsibilities.
  • Must follow all applicable procedures and make recommendations for system improvements as identified.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift operator’s license required but will train.
