Summary

We are currently seeking an organized and driven leader to join our team as a Maintenance Manager. This position requires effective leadership skills and a strong technical background in the maintenance field. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively lead the day-to-day operation of the department as well as maintain a long-term strategic focus on continuous improvement. 

 

PAY:

$100,000 - $130,000 Annually

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, education/training, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for effectively managing direct reports, including training, coaching, and disciplining on safety, quality, and productivity performance measures.
  • Responsible for communicating job expectations, monitoring, appraising performance and recommending compensation.
  • Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service, including quality control measures, preventative maintenance goals, machine uptime, and facilities maintenance.
  • Ensures PMs are conducted on schedule and documented; ensure operator satisfaction of equipment for the safe and efficient return to production.
  • Responsible for operating within policies & procedures, and maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements; including compliance with Occupational Health and Safety procedures and SafeStart practices.
  • Continuously monitor the performance and activities of direct report through the use of KPIs.
  • Manage financial activities including annual budgeting process, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions as required.
  • Keep equipment operating safely by enforcing proper use in accordance with operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and managing preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Responsible for improving equipment related downtime through data analysis, root cause investigations and targeted projects.
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement activities in alignment with the PaperWorks Reliability Roadmap.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded and tracked via the CMMS.
  • Supports in the planning, coordination and execution of equipment related capital projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, business administration or a related field of study from an accredited institution and 3+ years supervisory experience in high volume multi-shift / multi-site operation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret information, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal, teambuilding and leadership skills.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and implement solutions to correct.
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and energetic.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) is a must.
  • MRP/ERP system experience and knowledge is a must. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Experience utilizing a CMMS to manage PM schedules, work order execution and inventory control
