Ready to join a growing, dynamic company?  At PaperWorks, we are seeking experienced, dependable Maintenance Technicians to join the team in our Baldwinsville, NY folding carton facility. In this role, you will maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, compressed air, and pneumatic systems and components. As a Maintenance Technician you will apply your knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and apply skills in restoring the machines to operation.

PAY

$25.00 – $40.00/hour

Shift Differential: $1.50/hour

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, education/training, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

How you will impact PaperWorks:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to numeric controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
  • Install, start up and shut down machines in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown in line with OSHA requirements.
  • Advise operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
  • Inform appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  • Perform preventative maintenance functions as directed. Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Assist maintenance team members with technical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with maintenance troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of reliability concepts and applications. Ability to read schematics.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work well within a team environment.
  • A strong work ethic and positive attitude!
