Summary

The position will maintain, service, and repair plant machinery, electrical, and facilities.  Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical conditions. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operation of machinery and electronic equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on machinery, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Locate sources of problem and repair in a safe and timely manner.
  • Forestry Chain of Custody (COC)

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with rules and regulations

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Aptitude – Ability to work safely on and around industrial machinery
  • Desire to develop troubleshooting skills on a wide array of machinery
  • Ability to work closely with OEM technicians to facilitate repairs to machinery
  • Teamwork – The ability to work effectively as part of a team to support the maintenance needs of the production floor
  • Flexibility - The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs
  • Static Strength - The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull and carry objects 
    • Manufacturing Plant environment
    • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving you whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
    • Lifts up to 20lbs
    • Frequent standing and bending for up to 8-12 hours per day
