    The Finance/Accounting Department at Paperworks Industries has a newly created position for a Senior Tax Analyst. This position is a hands-on role and provides an excellent opportunity to work with various Federal, State and International income tax structures and obtain an insight in how the Company operating units interact with the Tax personnel.  
    The Senior Tax Analyst role is directly involved with federal, state and local compliance for several US and Canadian corporations and partnerships. Under the general supervision of the Director of Tax, this role is responsible for the preparation of annual tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments and completion of tax accounting functions related to fixed asset depreciation, tax basis, etc.  In addition, this role will be an active team member and will have the opportunity to interact with colleagues regarding various federal, state, and local taxing authority notices and special projects.  Project work will be diverse, providing a unique perspective to view and analyze the daily operations of the organization from a tax perspective.



    • Preparation of Federal and State income tax returns including all relevant workpapers for multiple tax jurisdictions.
    • Prepare the quarterly estimated tax payments and analysis
    • Provide tax analytical support on projects and tax audits as assigned.
    • Assist in the quarterly and annual income tax accounting and reporting processes.
    • Pursue tax-saving opportunities.
    • Maintain a comprehensive tax compliance calendar.
    • Monitor and research tax technical publications pertaining to federal/state tax law to keep abreast of legislative and regulatory developments and maintain tax research database.
    • Perform moderate to complex tax research and analysis and make recommendations for implementation as assigned.
    • Respond to and resolve issues with state and local tax authorities.
    • Limited business travel may be required.
    • Other duties as assigned.



    • BS in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting required.
    • Master of Science in Taxation (MST) is a plus.
    • 7-10 years demonstrated experience in corporate income tax compliance including exposure to partnerships required.
    • Experience with Federal forms 5471, 5472, 8858 and 8865 is required.
    • Understanding of ASC 740 (FAS 109) is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to use and learn various software applications.  Demonstrated computer application skills (Excel, tax preparation software, etc.)
    • Must be a self-starter and able to identify, analyze, and resolve problems.
    • Demonstrated ability to initiate, self-manage, accept ownership.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
