    Directs production of entire plant by performing the following duties directly or indirectly through subordinate supervisors.


    Essential duties and responsibilities may include the following.

    • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Maintenance Department, Finishing Department, Die Cutting Department, Printing Department, Warehouse Department, and Corrugated/Laminator Department. 
    • Pre-plans and coordinates production, distribution, and warehousing schedules for general production.
    • Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations of division.
    • Continuously investigates new methods and equipment available to the production market and works with Superintendents/Supervisors to justify equipment needs and purchases.
    • Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area.
    • Develops plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
    • Reviews operations of competing organizations.
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. 
    • Ability to act professionally to establish and maintain good customer relations. 
    • Ability to make decisions which the result could be costly to the company. 
    • Ability to understand and operate a computer and current software applications relevant to this position.
    • Must follow all applicable ISO procedures and make recommendations for system improvements as identified, if applicable.
    • Must be capable of keeping accurate records, including the completion of all required forms; and the accurate use of different measuring devices including tape measures, and all other applicable gauges for your responsibilities.
    • Assist in establishing and continually improving the ISO 9001 system and ensuring enforcement of following the established procedures.
    • Performs as a capable trainer.  Instructs supervisors in all phases of work with a minimum of personal friction or conflict.
    • Must teach general plant technique and procedure to Superintendents/Supervisors and evaluate their progress.


    To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/ related field or ten (10) to (15) fifteen years related experience in folding carton operations and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing industry required.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work with a diverse set of personalities.
    • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize work flow.
    • Flexibility in approach and willingness to adapt when necessary.
    • Proactive and action-oriented personality; comfort within a fast paced environment and a strong sense of urgency.
    • Ability and experience working productively and pro-actively both independently and as part of a team. 
    • Strong interpersonal skills, proven problem-solving skills; solution focused.
    • Ability to work shifts and weekends.
