Overview

The Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for managing the Customer Service, Planning, Scheduling, Shipping and Receiving and SWAT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Customer Service team in resolving customer issues in a timely manner and managing customer relationship to agreed-upon terms. Heavily involved in customer relations, including escalated problem resolution
  • Oversees manufacturing planning and scheduling functions to ensure on-time delivery of customer requirements with optimal utilization of production equipment and personnel
  • Supports inventory control process and oversees development and implementation of process and procedural changes and/or corrective actions to addresses barriers to accuracy
  • Provides operational metrics to management
  • Monitors and manages resource utilization to ensure maximum efficiencies. Continuously monitors the performance and activities of direct reports through the use of KPI's
  • Responsible for operating within policies & procedures, and maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements; including compliance with Occupational Health and Safety procedures
  • Responsible for effectively managing direct reports, including training, coaching, and disciplining on safety, quality, and productivity performance measures
  • Responsible for communicating job expectations, monitoring, appraising performance and recommending compensation .
  • Manages financial activities including monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in management, transportation and logistics management business administration or a related field of study from an accredited institution and 5-7 years supervisory experience in high volume multi-shift/ multi-site operation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret information, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal, teambuilding and leadership skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and implement solutions to correct
  • Must be detail oriented, organized and energetic.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) is a must
  • MRP/ERP system experience and knowledge is a must. SyteLine MRP system experience and knowledge highly preffered
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
